Sakthi Peetam
In Sakthi Peetam temple, there are no resident priests who are in
charge of running the temple.
Instead, devotees of the Adhiparasakthi worship centers are in charge of
the Sakthi Peetam take turns in administering to all the needs of the
temple and the people who visit. This is similar to the way the Siddhar
Peetam in Melmaruvathur is administered. Each Sakthi Peetam undertakes
numerable charitable activities for people in their region.
First Sakthi Peetam in USA
During His Holiness Sri Adigalar's visit to US in September 2000 (S)HE
said that Lansdale worship center in Pennsylvania will be getting a
statue of Adhiparasakthi as all Sakthi Peetams in India have. This is a
momentous occasion since it would be the first statue installed outside
of India.
As per Adigalar's divine orders the Adhiparasakthi idol has been brought
from India. The Idol is touring most part of the US to bless all the
devotees. The worship centers in CA are inviting the Idol to CA during
the months of January to March 2005. We hereby request you all to
contact the CA worship centers take part in this holy event and donate
generously for the sakthi temple construction work in Lansdale, PA.
